Smooth Operator

Smoothies have become a go to breakfast of late.  They're super easy--what I like to call dump and press-- dump some fruit, a liquid of some sort and ice in the blender and press go.  I've been sticking with classic combos like blueberry/banana, strawberry/banana, and all berry varieties, but I had a 1/2 of an avocado left over from dinner and started thinking...

I used to be leery of green juices until I listened to a dear friend and yogi who insisted that a healthy green beverage didn't have to taste like grass and this recipe is proof positive that it's easy drinking green.  The creaminess of the avocado with the banana helps to make this one smooth criminal. (I figured I should try to include as many musical puns as I can, add yours in the comments!)

Avocado Banana Smoothie

1/2 avocado pitted and peeled
1 medium banana
1 1/2 C orange juice
1 1/2 C ice cubes

Dump all ingredients in the blender and blend.  Pour into a tall glass and finish off with a straw.
