From the Garden


It is a joke of mine when I sit down to dinner with a good friend that she label everything that came from her backyard. "Tonight we are having corn (from the garden), potato salad (with potatoes and herbs from the garden), a salad (with
lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, long beans, etc., etc., from the garden...)

Every summer my fridge is stocked with the freshest, most local, and organic produce one could dream of. It never ceases to amaze me that in the winter her yard looks like this...



And come summer we are blessed by the love and work of a master with this...



And I am able to take for granted this...
Meal after meal 'til summers end.

Please don't let it go too fast...
